The BASENZ crew live, work and play in Wanaka. Passionate about freeride and freestyle skiing and snowboarding, we are out in the mountains that surround us riding every day. All that riding pays off for you – you get the best advice on the latest outerwear, skis and snowboards, because we have tried and tested every product we sell. All that product testing — "it's a tough job " — means we believe in our products and our ability to get you the gear you need for the sort of riding you do. We believe in our gear and advice enough to give you the best ski and snowboard guarantee in the country. Oh and the other thing we are serious about is kitting you out to look good when you are telling people about your exploits on the hill. Street wear that turns heads is a big part of what we do because you can’t be riding all the time... Shame. Our team all love what they do and everyone contributes to what makes BASE great. We hope that we can share a little of our experience and love for snow and street wear with you. Helping you make the most out of your life whether on the street or in the mountains...It's what we do! Contact us @

We’re so stoked to see our BaseNZ Freeride Team wrap up an awesome season!

We’ve seen so much progression across the team this winter, from new tricks and bigger lines to the confidence to drop into unknown terrain and give things a go. It’s been unreal watching these young athletes push themselves, support each other and, most importantly, having fun on the mountain. They are unstoppable!

We really have to hand it to the juniors… they make it look easy.
Here’s to an epic season from everyone.

A small confession from us.

We accidentally left one of Meta’s AI creative settings switched on for a few days and, well… it got a little carried away.

Floating boards, questionable lines and some very creative interpretations of carving followed.

Swipe through for some of our favourites.
The good news: the crew can actually ride.
The better news: the End of Winter Sale is real.
