Devil's Cut BBQ

Well we're back into it trendsetters! After the winter hiatus, Devil's Cut are prepping up for the next comp at King of the Mountain BBQ Competition in New Plymouth. This year an entry is up for grabs to head to the World Cup of Bbq in Las Vegas next year for the winner takes all million dollar prize so all the best teams will be here. Get amongst it!!!

So, that's a wrap at Bogan Day Out at Brewtown Upper Hutt . Man, what great couple of days catching up with people and cooking up a storm. Bogan Day Out was awesome with plenty of punters through the gate and some great live bands. The team had a great day on the pits, picking up:

3rd Chicken
7th Ribs
10th Pork
6th Brisket

For 6th overall which we are stoked with. Congrats to Cook Cartel for their deserved GC, and Smokey Fish BBQ for RGC. Also congrats to Ryan and the boys at Smoke and Steel gor dipping your toes in at their first comp as well as being great neighbors. Thanks to everyone for fronting up to get the comp over the line, Mo at Hogwarts BBQ for the hard yards he put in getting teams involved, and Phil Gorman at Brewtown for running another great event. Finally, big thanks to Peter Fowler at Hunting & Fishing New Zealand, Hutt Valley, Clint Lindsey at BLACK DOG BBQ, Commodities NZ Ltd and Landmark signs for their support.

And we are GO at Brewtown Barbecue Competition! Lots of smoke, meat smells and Steven Cook with his boom box. Here's hoping for a fun day.

Bogan Day Out this weekend!! Needless to say, we're pretty amped to get back into the comp scene as it's been October since we last competed. Been busy for the team up until now with some catering for friends, a ton of work on the trailer along with some new toys. Even managed to pick up a couple of sponsors along the way. Unfortunately no comps since Taupo for the team, but we've been busy with a bit of catering for others. This helps as fundraising for the comps that as we know, aren't cheap. Cooking for people is quite fulfilling , especially if they haven't experienced American BBQ before. Soon it's a break over Xmas/ New Year, and then some more work on the trailer which is starting to come up a treat. Finally, just a big thanks to our supporters for the year, especially Commodities NZ Ltd , Hunting & Fishing New Zealand, Hutt Valley , Eastbourne Quality Meats.
