Island Bay Tennis & Squash Club

After the Kiwi team’s dramatic comeback win over Bosnia & Herzegovina earlier this year in front of a packed crowd, it’s now Auckland’s turn for what will be our biggest Davis Cup tie in recent memory.

On 19-20 September, New Zealand will take on Japan at The Trusts Arena in Henderson, Auckland with a place among the world’s top tennis nations on the line.

Winter doubles tennis competition ❄️

Winter is nearly here, but not to fear, tennis inter-club is near.

Send you and your team details to our tennis club captain Christina asap as entries close 20 May! Two men and two women per team per game with the cost of $166.00 split by members.

The competition will be played on club and association courts between 21 June and 13 September. The starting time for matches will be 1.00pm and matches will usually be played fortnightly on Sunday afternoons (weather dependent).

Tennis Weekend @ the Renouf

A local competition for those of us 35 years and older! Sign up quick as entries are limited. Looks like a fab weekend.

WORKING BEE
SATURDAY 25TH APRIL
10AM–2PM

Kia ora everyone,

We hope you are all safe and recovering from the week.

We’re organising a working bee this Saturday, 25th, from 10am–2pm to help with clean-up following the flooding.

Work will focus on the carpark, tennis courts, and entranceway areas only. Please note there will be no access to the clubrooms during this time.

If you’re able to help, please bring along any of the following:
Gloves
Buckets
Outdoor brooms
Shovels/dustpans
We will also need a long outdoor hose, and if anyone has access to water blasters, that would be a huge help.

We’re planning to go ahead rain or shine (unless there are weather warnings), as the silt is easier to shift when wet.

Please spread the word — many hands make light work, and we’d really appreciate any help you can offer.
