Seatoun Poker Club

Hi all, with regret our poker will no longer be played at the Seatoun Bowling Club as we have been asked to find an alternative venue. It's a real shame as we have a wonderful bunch of players who have enjoyed playing at the SBC and we have made some great friendships over the years. I will keep you posted if the situation changes but for now we will not be hosting any poker tournaments until further notice. Thanks to everyone who has played over the years.

Hi Poker players, just an update to the resumption of playing poker at the SPC.

While we are at the red traffic light level, play at the Club will once again be suspended until we move back from this level.

I will send out an update when things change.

Zak played Doc last night in a heads up battle for the SPL championship. After 10 mins Docs flopped straight held up against Zak’s straight flush draw and he became the new Seatoun poker champion for 2021. Well done to our oldest member of the SPC.

An exciting finish to this years shortened SPL season. Going in to the last round Paul (Doc) Bevin was the only one who could catch last years winner Zak (Jazzman) Dikvert. Doc had to win Sundays game once Zak had picked up a point in 8th place. He managed to pull even when heads up with Dave Mitchell but pulled up short when Dave flopped a boat with 62off. So in the end both players finished equal 1st on 32 points with Matt Mueller and Marc Waterworth coming equal 3rd. Well done to all who played this year even though we only played 7 rounds out of the scheduled 11. Here is the final table...

Hi Guys, we will play the final round of the SPL on Sunday 12th Dec at 7pm. Note the SBC have introduced a vaccine pass requirement to enter the club. This would only be round 8 having missed 3 but I want to wrap it up. The league table is here

Hi All, after careful consideration live poker at the club will stay suspended until further notice. This of course affects this weekends scheduled Sunday SPL game as well as the weekly. The level 2 restrictions make it very difficult to play poker under normal bar rules and so we will wait until level 1 before starting up again. Apologies once again.

For those missing the live game format we will hopefully be starting up again in the first week of October. See you then

Just an update to advise players that SPL round 8 will now be postponed and held some time later this year.

The Seatoun Poker Club is currently closed and will hopefully re-open once Wellington moves out of level 2 Delta.
