“Runner” might be a bit of an understatement for the August Runner of the Month! 🏃‍♂️

Wellington Scottish member Kyle has been ticking off 100-mile races like they’re no big deal, but his latest adventure takes the cake. A 500km race across the USA, battling little sleep, 40°C heat and thunderstorms along the way.

How cool is it to have people in this crew achieving such incredible things? Well done Kyle! ❤️

Meet the recipients of our Young Athletes Grants: Lennox and Zali! 🌟

When Lennox ran a 72-minute half marathon at Round the Bays 2025 just for fun, he decided to give competitive running a proper go. Since then, he's claimed podium finishes at numerous Wellington races, lowered his half marathon PB to an incredible 69 minutes, and become a valued contributor to the club.

As a Master's student, we're excited to support Lennox through this grant as he continues to chase even bigger goals.

Zali joined the Wellington Scottish whānau earlier this year. Having only started competitive running in 2025, she's already achieved an impressive sub-three-hour marathon.

Alongside studying Law and Philosophy full-time, Zali is passionate about healthy and sustainable participation for women in sport, while striving to perform at her very best. We're so excited to help her achieve her goals and see more young woman in sport!

Congratulations, Lennox and Zali! 💛
