Wellington Junior Girls Rugby

Did you know that there are girls-only grades of rugby being launched here in Wellington this season!?

Grades for Years 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 will be played on Mondays (alternating weeks) throughout May and June, with a festival to be played in July during the school holidays.

You can play in both the girls-only grades and the regular Saturday competition, and this will be a great launch pad for those new to or returning to rugby in a safe, inclusive girls-only space.

Well done to our Y7/8 tackle Wāhine Toa team for being awarded Team of the Festival at the 2025 Global Games!
Over four amazing games in tough conditions they took away 2 wins and 2 close losses. They showed teamwork, skill and sportsmanship each day with an encouraging and supportive sideline cheering them on.

Look out for them next year back on the field!
