Finn, we are beyond proud of you!!
This hard working boy is up early every morning practicing ballet. You will often see him in the waiting room early for class, headphones on, warming up and practicing. Finn is a dream student to teach, always eager to learn and take on corrections. Well Finn, your hard work is paying off! Finn competed in the prestigious AHA awards in Wellington this weekend, a ballet competition where dancers from all over the country and overseas come together to compete in memory of a dancer, Alannah Haines, who passed away at just 11 years of age. This competition has an incredibly high standard and our Finn who was in an age category with 108 other dancers not only made it to the quarter finals where just 50 were chosen, he then danced his way into the semi finals as one of the top 23! And, the only dancer from Wellington in his age division!! Finn didn’t make the finals but, what a HUGE achievement!! A huge congratulations to you Finn and to Ms Hale and Mr Lucas for coaching Finn to prepare for this competition. You are a star Finn, a delight to teach and an absolute joy to watch dance!
