Helping to enable Onslow College students to learn, enjoy and play volleyball. This page is run by the Onslow College Volleyball Volunteer Group.

This group is made up of parents, caregivers, and coaches, with the aim of enabling Onslow College students to learn, enjoy and play volleyball. In addition to this, we are organising low-cost, off-season training with skilled coaches. For school team registrations please contact the Onslow College Sports Office.

(The group is not Onslow College related. We have players from schools from all over Wellington attending.)

PLEASE COME AND CHALLENGE ONSLOW's SENIOR A TEAMS!
Kia ora whānau and community,
Onslow College is hosting a Volleython to fundraise for our teams attending the NZSS Volleyball Championships in Palmerston North at the end of March.
Both our Senior A Girls and Senior A Boys are planning to travel – and we’d love your support!
This is your chance to test your strength, get some extra training in before champs, or simply have a great hit with friends.
All teams welcome.
If you’re short on players, let us know – we’re happy to help fill teams.
Event Details:
Saturday & Sunday, 14–15 March
Onslow College Gym
Senior A Boys: Saturday, 1:00pm–9:00pm
Senior A Girls: Sunday, 9:00am–4:00pm (inquire if Saturday preferred)
Donation: $10 per player for 1 hour of game time
(6 players minimum per team)
Book a 1-hour time slot – first come, first served.

Theo has over a decade of coaching experience and a competitive playing background. He designs dynamic sessions to help you improve your individual skills and teamwork. 🤝

- $20 per session
- Limited to 16 players per session, so it's first-come, first-served! 🏃‍♀️💨
- All funds go to the Onslow College Senior A teams to help with their travel and tournament expenses.

Its that time again...Registrations are now open for the U15 trials for WRVA Representative teams and will compete at the Battle of the Regions for 2025. Regions are Wellington - Tasman - Manawatu - Havelock North.

All trials will be held at Walter Nash Centre
1st Trial - 21st September 2025
Girls at 1130am -2pm & Boys at 2pm -430pm

Calling all Junior Coaches in Wellington, especially at the College level.
Level II Te Tipu (Grow) Coach Course is back...
This course is specifically for indoor/beach coaches of junior volleyball players.
What will you learn? The purpose of this course is for developing coaches to gain a greater understanding of effective coaching. You will learn more about the technical components of volleyball and ways to teach skill. In addition, you will discuss and reflect on ways to help players learn within an engaging environment.
The Course Facilitators are: Sam Ryburn, Alex Mariano, and the support of WRVA/Nuku Ora
Cost: $49.95 + GST. If your
club/school is willing to cover the cost of the course, please indicate on the registration form.
Date: Saturday 23rd August

PLEASE SHARE WITH STUDENTS FROM OTHER COLLEGES! Teams don't have to be associated with/or organised by schools and can be mixed schools.

Nairnville Rec will be running a year 7&8 and year 9&10 league in term 3!

The year 9&10 league is brand new and will follow the successful setup for the year 7&8 league.

Each week teams will receive a 30 minutes skill session and then go into a 30 minutes game.

Players per team: 6
Cost per team: $300 ($50 per player)
Start date: Thursday, 24th July (Term 3)
Time: 3:30pm – 5:30pm
Duration: 9 weeks (2 weeks skill only, 7 weeks skill + league)
