THANK YOU! ππΎ This weekend, SLDA hosted a Rice Packet fundraiser and it was a major success!!
As a charitable, non-profit organisation, these fundraisers help continue the work we do in preserving and strengthening Sri Lankan culture in New Zealand, and we are immensely grateful π±π°π³πΏ
We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you especially to our SLDA family of parents, students, and volunteers for their support, energy, time, dedication, and teamwork. Your tireless work over the last couple of weeks and this weekend has been amazing. From early planning and organising, finding orders, food preparations, overnight cooking from our talented chefs, early morning packing, donations, and transport, every contribution made a meaningful difference and we couldnβt have done it without you. The work that goes into preparing this amount of rice packs to be ready for pickup by 9am is immense and it does not go unnoticed.
A special acknowledgement also to our newly joined Palmerston North team. Your enthusiasm, willingness and commitment to the success of this fundraiser was wonderful. You are all stars!
We also gratefully acknowledge the incredible foundation built over the past 50 years by everyone who has stood behind SLDA, especially our founder, Mrs. Dayani Gonsalkorale. Your vision, dedication and legacy continue to inspire us and guide the next generation.
Lastly a HUGE Thank you to everyone who placed an order and supported our mission. We hope you enjoyed the delicious food and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below of the Rice Packet π
Thank you to everyone again and we will see you for the next one!
