Congratulations to Frederick Mills an Easyswim instructor at Johnsonville Pool, who was selected to represent NZ at the Oceania Championships in Suva, Fiji, in May.

A huge congratulations also to Declan Broadfoot, another Easyswim instructor from Khandallah Pool, who represented NZ at the Tri Series against Australia in Western Australia during the July school holidays. Declan was part of the NZ Black team, who won the event.

Both began their swimming journey with Easyswim, and it's incredibly rewarding to see them now representing NZ on the international stage, while inspiring the next generation of swimmers.

How lucky are we to have instructors of this calibre sharing their knowledge, passion, and experience - we're so proud to have them as part of the Easyswim team!

Private Lessons Now Available!

Due to increased demand, we're excited to offer additional Private and Adapted swimming lesson slots at Tawa Pool on Wednesdays!

A limited range of Private Lessons are also available at Newtown on Tuesdays:

A friendly reminder - there will be no lessons tomorrow, Friday 10th July, as we celebrate Matariki.

If you usually swim on Fridays, there's no need to record absence - this has already been noted in our system.

We'll be back to our regular schedule over the weekend, with all lessons taking place as normal on Saturday, 11 July and Sunday, 12 July.

In celebration of Matariki, we will be closed on Friday, 10 July.

If your regular lesson falls on a Friday, there is no need to mark an absence — this has already been updated in our system.

Lessons will continue as usual on Saturday, 11 July and Sunday, 12 July.

FREE Community Water Safety Session

At Easyswim, we want to see everyone in our community learn to swim and be safe around water.

Swimmers aged 5–10 are invited to join our FREE Community Water Safety Session, where they’ll learn essential skills including:

✔️ How to swim while wearing a life jacket
✔️ Techniques for swimming in waves
✔️ The safest ways to swim in a river
