We are Back!

Sporting a new name and new club colours befitting the name change…..‘We are back’ and looking to make a name for ourselves in the paddling scene in Wellington.

Home base is still Evans Bay Yacht Club for us and if Olympic Kayak paddling or World Prone Board paddling is of any interest to you then please come and visit us or drop us a line.

We attended our first New Zealand Kayak Nationals 2020 in Karapiro as a club with great success with everyone taking home a medal and with that we are inspired to grow our club to become the hub of aquatic sports in the Southern, Eastern and Western Suburbs. This is our goal, to grow our numbers and become a force in New Zealand kayaking and world board paddling. We are a new club but we are positioned to offer learn to paddle right through to advanced kayaking and board paddling.

We have long established links to Surf Lifesaving with our connection to Otaki SLSC, we have links that can offer squad Swimming at WRAC should you be interested and we are connecting with Waka Ama in Evans Bay “Tai Tonga 41 Outrigger Canoe Club is our club of choice along with PPC or Poneke Paddling Connection with the crew from Porirua and the Hutt. Finally I cannot go without mentioning our good friends in the sport of sailing our connection to the waters of ‘Akau Tangi’ or Evans Bay and that is The Evans Bay Yacht Club who continue to show us great support and love. This is the way of the future for us, the Aquatic Hub of Wellington where you come to Evans Bay to get involved in an aquatic sport.
