After a long hiatus the Mark Ave FC admin has decided to come back and oh what a week to do it!
This season has been filled with up's and down's with many injuries, many loses and many player departures - but the MAFC faithful have knuckled down and stuck together.

Our 1st Team going up against The Mighty Fireraiders who ended up going 1-0 up before the boys managed to turn it around 5-1 on a windy night at SPC.

The highlight of the weekend going to our 2nd's who down 0-3 with 10minutes on the clock managed to turn it around to secure a draw 3-3 against a strong Didier Koffi FC team.

A fair bit of chirping was evident with the boys putting out a lack lustre performance and being 0-3 down but a key formation change from the sidelines saw us pull 1 back through a classy well composed finish from just outside the Box.

The MAFC tails were up and the Purple Reign grabbed a 2nd with mere minute on the clock through a scrappy corner.

The Koffi's forgot their 5 d's - dodge, dive, dip, duck and dodge
and with their back's against the wall they started pressing us deep within our own half but we had taken the game by the scruff of the neck and the Koffi's by their balls and pierced their defence through a lobbed ball which was hit pass their goal keeper with one of our players using his back skillfully in what could be a goal of the season contender.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

Happy Feet didn't kick a ball to go 8 points clear after Super Paddy's last minute default. Didier Koffi did manage their Double header with maximum points against Mark Ave and Super Paddy's to get back in the race, jumping to 3rd equal with Frothers who had a day off.
The Munches jumped to 4th with a 3:2 win over Pelicans who continued their 4 game losing streak.

Lazy 11 suffered their first defeat of the competition with a 3-2 loss to V-Well giving Inter Wellington a chance to close the gap at the top to 3 points. Inter Wellington cruised past a depleted team of Chickens eventually winning 8-3.
Unicorns pulled away from Dusty Sundays winning 3-1 for a 6 point buffer.

FC Reaper cling to a GD lead at the top of Div.III with a 3-2 win over bottom placed Sharks. VFC Soccer Friends kept the pressure on the Reapers beating Trentham 6-3. Salmon continued their float to the bottom with another default loss to Porirua Club who have jumped to 3rd place.
