Kerry-Anne Gilberd MNZM Classical Coaching

Academy of Dancing Scholarship, she furthered her training at the Royal Ballet School and was later invited to join the Royal Ballet of Flanders with which she spent four years extensively touring Europe. Kerry Anne rejoined the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company in 1981. She was awarded the MNZM for services to ballet in 1997. Following retirement Kerry-Anne performed the roles of ‘Tantomile’ and ‘Victoria’ in the Really Useful Dance Company’s production of ‘Cats’ touring New Zealand and Australia. For the next twelve years Kerry-Anne worked in Sponsorship and Business Development with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and is currently the Sponsorship Manager with Orchestra Wellington. Since August of 2015 Kerry-Anne is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® Registered National Training Curriculum. Kerry-Anne likes to take up every opportunity offered to her to help develop young dancers and give them an insight into the life of a professional dancer. She manages this by offering one on one coaching, guest teaching and adjudicating.
