Hey guys (and girls). Still alive here π. 3rd time I've seen this headline on different news agencies and I've finally felt compelled to make a post.
I actually get really passionate about stories like this that intentionally skew fitness and diet related stories in the news to push some sort of agenda. It's just a tragic situation all around. Sad for the girls family and sad for the media who post misleading headlines for attention .
For those are not clued up on the subject here's what the headline should simply read: "Bodybuilder tragically dies from rare genetic disorder" .....which left her unable to process protein properly.
So sleep well tonight knowing that you probably won't die from that protein shake you just had, or protein containing steak, or tofu (for my Vegan friends out there). Because yes protein doesn't just come in evil shake form π

Finally on the band wagon. Follow me at .pt for more pictures and video of PT life.
2nd time sumo deadlifting this year after months of rest due to an old back injury. Great exercise for the posterior chain/ squat b***y. Got 180, failed 190, then pulled back to 160 for a couple of rounds. Feeling strong but listening to my body this time around. Time to walk the talk. No more set backs for this guy. ***y

Tuna and rice again.... my favourite. My go to "fast food" for keeping on the gain train when I can't be bothered cooking or preparing anything. 90 sec uncle bens rice + smoked tuna. πππ½π

Today's unexpected cardio motivation: ifbb pro Darryn Onekawa. I am a fan of the sport so it's great to see NZ (Bodybuilding) in the spotlight this morning. And even better to hear him talk about Depression and Su***de awareness. Tumeke Darryn

Last day in island paradise so went for a token workout. Gym is exactly the same as when I came 4 years ago. Except now there's a Raro CrossFit and Raro muscle supplement shop on the island.
No need for a warm up here!!!! π₯π΄
