Kia Ora, unfortunately, we have made the hard decision to cancel Floorball this term, We did not get enough enrolments for us to be able to cover the Tawa rec fees. Watch this space and we will try again in Term 2.

Great training this afternoon, lots of running and dribbling the ball. We ended up adults VS kids, clapping 👏 for the parents who joined in. I think we draw. 😉 Parents enjoy as well. Well done to everyone! (I was busy on the floor, forgot to take photos, next time)

Awesome to see Floorball recognised for the first time at Tawa College Sports prizegiving. Our awesome mixed Team who took out the silver at the National Secondary Schools tournament were celebrated, as well as an honours award for one of our Tawa Floorball Coaches, who also plays for the under 19 Wellington Storm Team, Lochie Parker. New players are always welcome and all equipment is provided. You can try up to 2 sessions before you need to register so just reach out if you're interested.

Regrettably, due to lower numbers and coach availability we won't be running a senior session (Year 7+) during Term 4. We hope to be able to run this again in 2023.

An exciting game last night between Australia and Singapore ending in a draw.
Tonight a few of the Tawa Floorball family are heading in to ASB Sports Centre to watch NZ take on Singapore - tickets are still available via evebtbrite if you want to join us.

⚖️The first game of of the U19 Men's qualifiers is evenly played and ends with an tied result. Singpore was off to an early lead before Australia turned the momentum. The team in red then clawed their way back in the third. All is still to play for as Singapore face New Zealand tomorrow night!

This weekend was the Floorball Secondary School Champs in Wellington which saw a number of our Senior Tawa players playing their hearts out.

In the U15 Boys grade, Aotea College had a team which Shaun and Nicholas were part of. This team had a number of new players to Floorball and they grew from their first game to last. Their final game was against Wellington College and what a game it was! Aotea held on to take out 3rd place - Congrats to the whole team but in particular to Shaun and Nicholas.

Tawa College fielded a team in the Senior Mixed Grade, made up of Junior and Senior students. This team also had a few new players to Floorball with some picking up a stick for the first time yesterday but you wouldn't have known it! Across the weekend, they played 6 games against teams from Scots College and Heretaunga College and finished with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. On points Tawa finished equal with Scots but Scots had the slightly better goal differential giving them 1st place and Tawa taking out 2nd. A massive congrats to the whole Tawa College team but in particular to our Tawa Floorball players (and coaches!) Lochie, Logan, Kobe, Connor, Levi, Rueban and Caleb.

Congrats to all the players who represented their families, clubs and schools with pride, respect and heart.
