Training and racing through summer Wellington Velodrome is the home of track cycling in the capital and the track arm of Port Nicholson Poneke Cycling Club.

We hold regular racing on Sunday afternoons evenings and feature the Laykold Cup Carnival and the Wellington Centre Track Championships. SUBSCRIBE TO TRACKIE NEWS: http://eepurl.com/twWAv

Get your credit card ready as it’s new kit time! Soon we'll be opening a PnP Tineli shop so you can look your best out riding. Replace any of that kit that doesn’t quite fit right anymore or has suffered race damage. Or maybe you just want new stuff. Keep an eye out for more information on when the store opens.

You will be missed but always remembered by your PNP Track clubmates.

Huge congratulations!

World Cup Series (Hong Kong and Malaysia)

Following last weeks Nations Cup in Hong Kong where the New Zealand Teams Pursuit riders claimed Gold (men’s and Women’s); last weekend PNP rider George Jackson and Tom Sexton teamed up in the Madison to compete with the best in the World to come home with the Silver Medal. The previous week in Hong Kong they finished in Fourth place, but this time around George and Tom rode a magnificent race with their result only being sealed in the final sprint. Our PNP man George comes home with a Gold and a Silver medal for his efforts from both Cups.

This result bodes well for the NZ Team (with George) at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2, 2026.
