North City Cricket Club

Everyone at the club would like to extend a huge thanks to Wellington City Council for their help funding our much needed roof replacement.

For those who don't know, our roof has reached the end of its life, and urgent repairs are required. The cost involved to the club would have been substantial, and had a negative impact on our ability to deliver cricket to our community, had we not secured funding from the Council (as well as Four Winds Foundation and Pelorus Trust).

Thankfully, between grant funding and private donations from our members, we have been able to cover the cost of the replacement without dipping into our cash reserves. It's a much needed win at a time when so many community organisations are fighting hardship.

Laser Electrical Wellington East have sponsored the legendary Joey Todd for the 26/27 season. Giggsy is probably North City's most popular bloke, one of the dressing room's leaders and possesses the kindest eyes in Wellington.

On the field, he comes alive in a scrap, and has seen us home in multiple tight situations over the years with the bat - which he combines with impeccable glovework behind the stumps.
