One year ago to this day I came away from the most amazing experience (& my 200hr YTT Qualification) at The Byron Yoga Centre and I am grateful that I got to share it with these beautiful ladies. Still enjoying this adventure and glad to be sharing it with others now!

Training done - my wee brain is full! Looking forward to coming home (all in good time!) and putting it into practice. Thank you Bryon Bay and all the lovely ladies attending this course (including my tattoo twin!)

What do we do when Winter arrives? Why we run away of course! But for now we get fruity and bring the tropics to the studio tonight; a pineapple light, a coconut & lime candle and passionfruit & mango tea. Instant savasana on a beach! Happy holidays in Bali Christine and thank you for the wonderful referral (next page!). Next stop for me back to Byron Bay for more training and inspiration...

Give the gift of genuine rest this Mother’s Day. Why not treat her to a Restorative Yoga session?!

Restorative yoga uses props to create positions of ease and comfort that allows not just the body but also the mind to open and deeply relax.

And who doesn’t want a calmer more rested mum?!

LISTEN UP! Yogi Finn has something to say about Child’s Pose (Balasana)!

Stay curious just like a child says Yogi Finn. Curiosity is the desire to know and learn. When we practise yoga, we explore how we feel in each pose and this inquiry allows us to learn more about ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Whether you are starting your practice or using this asana to rest/rebound/counter pose the nature of Balasana allows for deep introspection as you turn inwards (you literally curl into yourself) which allows you to become inquisitive as to your physical, mental and emotional state at that time on the mat.

Yogi Finn also says this underrated beginners pose is great for elongating the lower back, stretching the buttocks, hips and thighs, can be good for digestion and provides instant calmness relieving stress and fatigue.

Well done Yogi Finn - time for your Savasana now xx

Ganesha - the Hindu God of beginnings and remover of obstacles. Hubby found him roadside in Chennai and now he has a new home. Glad he’s in my corner (literally)!

How many Yogis does it take to...

Life is a series of beginnings and endings. And now this is the beginning of a new chapter for me.

What was a spare bedroom at home is now my sacred place. A place for me to practise. To reflect. And to teach.

And it didn’t just happen. It took the love (and sweat) of family and friends - all of whom believed enough in what I was doing to help out with my journey.

So now there is a beautiful space. A space away from the rest of the world. A place I can put into practice what I have learned, and now I want to share with others. And this is just the beginning.

Swipe to see the transformation!
