This is the official page of the Central Districts Powerlifting Association (CDPA).
The CDPA is the regional association under the NZPF that covers the Central Districts area - the area of the North Island of New Zealand located between (and including) Taupo and Wellington.

General information
The CDPA has achieved a rich and proud history in its short existence, being the home association to past world champions including Derek Pomana, and Maria Brightwater-Wharf.
Central Districts hosts its Regional Championships in March-April each year, as well as a number of novice comps at regular intervals. In 2012, the Powerhouse Gym in Wellington hosted the Inaugural Record Breakers comp, the only competition outside of the annual National Championships where lifters can set National records.
In 2013, the CDPA will host the annual National Powerlifting Championships in Wellington.
