Some journeys are written long before we take our first step.

This weekend we honour our sister, Ivana Samani, as she pulls on the jersey for the 50th time. A milestone built on heart, history, and the quiet strength she carries with her.

From the beginning, Ivana carried more than just a ball onto the field. She carried her family, her faith, and the legacy of those who shaped her. She followed the path her big sisters paved - Damaris and Joanah. But she has made that path unmistakably her own, with grace, courage, and a gentle spirit that never wavers.

Ivana is the fiercest competitor, yet the kindest teammate. She plays with fire, but leads with humility. She shows up for others, listens deeply, and makes people feel seen. Her work ethic is relentless, her dedication unmatched.

Aiga, le fa’avae o le ola tautua o Ivana - her family is her foundation, her everything. Her parents, who have shown her the way with love and example. Her grandparents, whose pride in her is limitless, and are always on the sidelines when they get the chance. And her late mama, whose prayers still wrap around her like armour. She plays for them. She carries them. Their strength lives in her.

Fifty games is a milestone, but also a promise - sign of what’s still to come. With her character, her faith, and her family behind her, she is destined for greatness in whatever field she chooses.

We know this accomplishment isn’t yours alone but that of many - “E lē sili le ta’i nai lo le tapua’i”.

This week, we’re celebrating the many cultures that make our Club special. From our players, management, and board members to our volunteers and supporters, it’s the people and their heritage that bring our club to life.
