Minties Basketball (WELLINGTON)

Just over 10-years ago, Voldi Simil & the late Colleen Ross and a group of enthusiastic ballers started a tournament format called MINTIES. For those oldies that can remember it's a throwback to the Minties Tournament that use to run at Palmy on Labour Weekends in the 80's 🤪. Held at ASB Sports Centre, featuring 24 teams, 8 x Men's Social teams, 8 x Women's Open teams and 8 x Men's Premier teams debuted in 2011! The last Minties tournament was in 2016, 5-years ago. So here we are - you keep asking when the next one will be 🧐🤔. Sat-Sun, 5-6 February 2022. Keep an eye on this page for registration details. Awesome way to finish of 2016 with the last traditional tournament of the year. Great to see the Palmy and Hawkes Bay boys down here for the weekend. "Not enough of these fun tournaments - want more". Thanks to all the referees and scorebench and of course our "blue staff" at ASB Sports Centre. Have the best festive season people. Due to a team upgrade we've had to reshuffle the draw slightly, mainly affecting two teams in the Men's Premier League and two teams in the Men's Social Grade. The times are back to normal!.Harbour City Hookers - you now start at 9am and Buckets 2nd game is at 12pm., All Men's Premier teams start at 11am, including Young Guns and Heat Porirua.. Still need team rosters and please dont forget fees. Let's do it.

The traditional Minties Tournament kicks off this weekend 12-13 December 2015 at ASB Sports Centre, Kilbirnie. A fun and relaxed atmosphere but still playing competitive basketball. Have fun! Let's get it on!

Looking for keen Ballers for this weekend!

I've got one team that needs to fill the 8th spot - so looking for players that want to play in the Minties Tournament this weekend in the Men's Social Grade. Game times are 9am and 12pm on both Saturday and Sunday The team name is Team All Sorts. Cost per player for all 4 games is $30 - pretty reasonable. If you can only play Sat or Sun, then it's $15.00. Please note that I can only take the first 10 players max (more if you can only play either Sat or Sun).

It's a fun tournament - nothing serious. But it's an opportunity to get more games in before the end of the season.
