Tindale Cup returns to the Coast 🏆

After a 16-year wait, West Coast have reclaimed the Tindale Cup with a composed and hard-earned win over Buller.

The platform was set in the field, with Brennan Thomas outstanding with the new ball, striking early and finishing with four wickets. He was well supported by Ishan Dahanayake, Ameet and Cam Doake kept things tight through the middle overs to apply constant pressure. Richard Paul bowled well in th latter overs and also bagged two wickets.

Chasing 238, the Coast showed real discipline with the bat. Dean Coughlan and Brendan Marshall put together a crucial opening stand of 119, laying the foundations for the run chase. Marshall carried his innings through, finishing unbeaten on 85, while Richard Paul once again showed his class and composure with an important 65 not out to guide the Coast home.

A full-team effort across a long day in the field and with the bat — and a fitting reward for a group that continues to build year on year.
