Eight teams from six schools on the Kapiti Coast competed for the Yr 5&6 trophy. Well done to Te Horo School for taking it out, Fresh Choice Otaki for providing plenty of fruit (leftovers pic) and to all of the team managers/parents for their time and energy to help out on the day

We are a precursor to tennis. Our objective is to introduce all kiwi kids to padder tennis at school, so that the fundamentals of tennis can be engrained in each and every student

We’ve been lucky to have Coach Paul from Padder Tennis NZ running awesome sessions with our students — and there’s no doubt about it… Padder tennis is THE game to play right now!

From quick rallies to big cheers, our turf has been full of energy, laughter, and fast-paced fun. It’s fantastic to see so many tamariki giving it a go, developing hand–eye coordination and confidence while having an absolute blast.

Padder Tennis is going gangbusters in local schools right now. It's awesomely easy to learn and action packed.
So it's a great sport in it's own right, but it's also a perfect intro to all racket sports.

Students from Year 3-8 will all experience a fun games based programme in a class setting, and each school will receive equipment so the kids can keep rallying with their mates at break times ALL summer long ..developing crucial hand-eye skills used in Tennis NZ programmes

Padder Tennis NZ Tennis Canterbury

Padder tennis took over the playground at Christ the King School in Christchurch this afternoon. 46 kids of mixed year groups played doubles all afternoon on six courts with everyone getting four matches. Things ran smoothly enough with plenty of noise and tonnes of fun.

CtK has just painted three new courts which were in primo condition for the event. Thanks a bunch to teacher Patrick Shea for enabling this for the school.
