🏆 Wellington North Players Excel at Masters Nationals 🏆

A huge congratulations to our Wellington North representatives who competed at the New Zealand Masters National Championships last weekend.

Special congratulations to Greg White, who won the Men's 65+ Singles National Title, while Maggie Lee and Lesley Gledhill dominated the women's events, claiming both the 65+ Doubles and 70+ Doubles National Titles. Lesley then teamed up with Martin Lebransky from Nelson to take out the 70 Plus Mixed Title.
Kit He was tantalizingly close to winning to National Titles but ended up with Silver in both the Womens Singles 40s and Mixed Doubles 40s.

We also saw strong performances from Graham Parker, Giles Turner, Scott Rademaker, Ken Mirafuentes, Richard Kirby, Kit He, and Christine Dowler, who all competed exceptionally well and most were unlucky not to finish on the medal podium.

Well done to all our players for representing Wellington North with pride, sportsmanship, and determination on the national stage! 👏🏸💛💙

Wellington North Badminton Association is now calling for Expressions of Interest from players interested in representing WNBA during the 2027 representative season.

We are seeking interest across all representative grades:

🏸 Juniors

By submitting an Expression of Interest now, you'll be among the first to receive updates regarding representative opportunities, tournaments, team requirements, and selection processes as information becomes available.

The early EOI process also helps us plan for the 2027 season by determining:

Submitting an EOI does not commit you to participating. It simply allows us to gauge interest and keep you informed as planning progresses.
