Calling all helpers for this year’s Junior Athletic Programme! Please let us know if you will be attending and are happy to help out alongside the children. No organising required! Just ensuring small groups of children are following a rotation in the correct direction and help with the activity at a station. Very simple easy to read cards from Athletics NZ used with full diagrams and equipment ready. Comment below:

We have received plenty of requests for Senior Athletics and over 13’s. Sport Tasman are happy to work together with a group of people to achieve this, we aren’t able to do this on our own. If you are wanting to see this happen in Buller please message your interest in helping below or email [email protected] or pm Sport Tasman Buller.

Junior Athletics will commence on Tuesday 26th Feb 2019. Held on the Turf at the Pulse Energy Recreation Centre from 3:30pm - 4:30pm each week. This will run for seven weeks. A full programme will be released shortly with festival days included. Any ideas, suggestions or questions can be posted below in the mean time:

Great news Athletics will restart after a seasons break in February of 2019. We thank everyone for waiting patiently. We will be delivering Athletics NZ Get, Set, Go programme for under 6 year olds and Run, Jump, Throw for 6 to 12 year olds. These are Athletics specific fundamental movement skills practiced in fun games, held at the Pulse Energy Recreation Centre Turf (weekday afternoon). Festival days will be held at Victoria Square to put the learnt skills to the test and allow some healthy competition and experience. A full programme will be released shortly. Due to less than average weather, and the ground being wet underfoot, athletics is cancelled today :)

Apologies for the late notice, but the 2016/2017 Athletics season resumes tomorrow, and will continue right through until the last week of the school term.

Juniors (up to age 6): 4pm- 4:30/4:40ish
Seniors (age 7 up): from 4:30pm
