We’re about to start rolling out some of the photos from another fantastic Awards Night at the Whakatāne Sportfishing Club, held last week!

What a brilliant night celebrating our members’ achievements and another great year at the Club.

A very special thank you to Mandy Hague for capturing so many fantastic photos throughout the evening. We can’t wait to start sharing them with you.

We also want to acknowledge Brenda Ludwig for the beautiful floral arrangements that helped make the Club look so special. Every flower was hand-picked straight from her garden and arranged with so much care. A huge amount of time goes into those beautiful finishing touches, and it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

An evening like this takes a whole team of people working behind the scenes. A massive thank you to our President, Heyden Johnston, our committee members, all our amazing sponsors, weighmasters, staff, and everyone who helped with the preparation and organisation.

Thank you to our fantastic bar staff, who kept everyone looked after throughout the night, our devoted driver, who made sure everyone got home safely, and the team at Skippers Restaurant Whakatane for rolling out all the meals and keeping everyone well fed!

There are so many people who give their time and energy to our Club, often quietly behind the scenes, and nights like this simply wouldn’t happen without you.

And finally, thank you to our members and guests for coming along and making our Awards Night such a great one.
