✨January 2026 round up✨
After a jam packed end to 2025 we’ve had a rejuvenating start to 2026 and we’re excited to see what the rest of this year has to bring.
With the calendar filling we cannot wait to get adventuring with you guys and creating some great memories to look back on☀️

As we wrap up the season and take a break through to February, it’s all about doing right by the animals.
This time of year most of the hinds are dropping their fawns, so we prefer to leave them alone and let those young animals get a strong start.
At the same time, the stags and spikers are still in velvet, which makes it impossible to properly identify the quality of an animal or the true potential of its head.
Stepping back now helps protect the herd and sets things up for a better, healthier season when we return.

As we close out another hectic year, we wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🎊
We’ll be taking a well-deserved break and will be back for a fresh season in February. For now, we’ll be sitting back and recharging with a cold bevvy in hand 🍻
Cheers everyone!

Look at these little beauty’s! What’s better than sausage rolls for smoko!
We’ve been using venison sausage meat that comes in a handy tube of 500g from our trusty butcher, but you could destuff some venison sausages to get the same result!
Throw the meat into a bowl, add some grated cheese and diced onion and mix it up.
Pick the size of your sausie roll and get rolling- we halve a sheet of puff pastry and go bite sized (all the better for scoffing)
Don’t forget to brush a bit of beaten egg on the seam.
Cut to size, place on an oven tray and brush that egg over again.
Bake at approx 170 till golden brown and cooked through.
Best served with T sauce 🥫
And if you’re in need of some venison sausage meat… well you know who to talk to about going hunting!! 🦌😜

Over the school holidays, we had our Wilson’s Kids Hunt 2025 prize winner, Max, join us for his hunt! 🦌🌿
What a legend – he made the most of every moment out on the hill and walked away with some awesome memories (and another epic hunting story to tell!).
A huge thank you to everyone who entered – we’re looking forward to doing it all again next year!
And again - a big shout-out to Wilson’s Hunting for running such a great event and inspiring the next generation of hunters to get amongst it. 👏🏼
