Health and healing have fascinated me since childhood. At ten, I was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and given harsh medication. That same year, our family traveled in the Mediterranean and contracted hepatitis—except my eldest brother, who avoided a contaminated handbasin. Back in New Zealand, my arthritis had vanished, though I had jaundice and felt run down. Why I fell ill and recovered so quickly sparked a lifelong curiosity about natural healing. Four decades on, I’m still learning.
