🏁 Cemetery Circuit 2025 Race Report + Suzuki International Series Season Wrap 🏁

Cemetery Circuit exposed every weakness this weekend.

From first practice on the Gen 5 ZX10R the setup was off. Rear shock pogoing over bumps and exits, forks bottoming out everywhere. Made it hard to commit on a street circuit like Whanganui. Still managed P4 in practice after a massive highside moment over the railway crossing that smashed the screen.

Qualified P6 while still fighting the bike.

Race 1 was damage control. Kept it smooth, banked points and finished P6.

Race 2 TT was a wet one so setup mattered less. Jumped on the Gen 4 ZX10R and brought it home P4.

Robert Holden Memorial started P9. Chasing down P2 on lap 4/6 I ran slightly wide on to the yellow lines in the wet, tucked the front and bike hit a power pole nose first then snapped the rear subframe against a curb, but walked away uninjured. Cemetery never forgives mistakes.

Despite the struggles, it ended up being my strongest round of the season.

My debut F1 season and not a result I expected so i’m stoked!

Huge thanks to everyone who backed me this season. Lessons learned, data reviewed and ready for what’s next.

Suzuki International Series: Round 2

Went in to the weekend expecting to lap around 1:08.5s, Ended up running a solid 1:07.067! With a theoretical est of 1:06.4.

With the new found quicker pace I was suffering from some bike setup issues on Saturday but met an awesome aussie bloke Marty Kracht who gave me a few pointers that led to shaving nearly an entire second off my PB! Prior to this I had never adjusted a suspension clicker on a bike, just set the sag and go 😂

For the weekend I ended up P9 in F1, and P2 in the sub class Pre 2019 F1

🔥 Massive thanks to Shane from Hel Performance NZ for backing me with this flash new rear thumb brake setup. The quality of this thing is unreal, the finish, the machining, the feel of it in the hand, you can tell straight away it’s built by people who know what riders actually need.

I haven’t had the chance to run it on track yet, but I’ll be testing it out this Friday. I’m excited to see how it transforms the bike on corner entry and gives me a bit more confidence and control in those tricky sections. Little upgrades like this make a huge difference, especially when you’re pushing for every bit of improvement you can find.

Huge appreciation for believing in what I’m doing this season and supporting the journey. Having sponsors who provide top quality gear means a lot.

If anyone’s looking to upgrade their braking setup in their cars, drag bikes, road bikes with braided lines, thumb brakes, calipers, master cylinders then seriously hit up HEL Performance NZ, Top tier products and service.

Also a big shoutout to Chris from Ozzy Performance Ltd for lending me a brand new HealTech quickshifter for Friday’s test day. This setup runs alongside the OEM shifter, and I’m hoping it’ll clean up the upshifts when the bike is sliding out of corners and give me stronger, smoother drive out of the sweepers.

Big day of testing ahead, can’t wait. 🔥🏁

Awesome weekend spent up at Taupo International Motorsport Park dialing in the bikes.

Huge thanks to Dave Sharp for bringing to my attention an issue with the Gen 5 ZX10R, it had the wrong gear ratio flashed on the ECU. Instantly shaved 2 seconds off my times.

Also would like to thank my bosses Feilding Collision Repair for letting me knock off early and supporting me. Andrew Weld for the pictures and help in the pits. Christopher Hodson & Simon Kendrick for their ongoing support.
