Team McGhie Whanganui Women's Football team is our senior women's football side. For the 2021 season, we will be playing in the Federation League.
The team is made up of all the best players from Whanganui clubs and high school teams.

Double Header Weekend|⚽️
What a treat we have for the long weekend!
The Team Mcghie Football Whanganui woman's team has 2 games over the weekend in what should be 2 cracking games in the Women's Federation league.
Coming off a win in their last outing, the girls are full of confidence going into 2 games in 3 days
Their weekend starts with a Friday afternoon trip over to face Massey university. Massey currently sits in second place 5 points ahead of our girls. In the season's first meeting, Massey ran out 5-0 winners.
Then on Sunday, Whanganui host table topping AFC Taradale. They have won 6/7 games this season and look like a strong bet for winning the title. However, their last trip to Wembley park against FW saw the hosts win 2-1.
Wembley is a great place when it is packed and we hope to see everyone down Sunday cheering on the girls!

The girls pick up their first win of the season with a entertaining and gutsy performance
Leading 2-0 at the halftime, a strong second half from Marist put pressure on Whanganui bringing it back to 2-1. Whanganui scored to make it 3-1, however Marist responded making it 3-2 on the 80th minute mark. Whanganui responded positively and calmly to see the game out and get the result their performance deserved

Federation league football is back at Wembley Park this weekend and Team McGhie Football Whanganui is ready for the encounter!
They host New Plymouth Rangers for the first matchup between the 2 teams this season!
After last weekend's narrow cup loss to North End, the team is ready to work towards picking up their first result of the season!
New Plymouth Rangers come into this game with 6 points from their first 3 games. They have scored 10 goals and conceded 12 so far.
It proves to be an exciting encounter between the 2 teams. 1pm kick-off this Sunday!

It's cup weekend!
For the first time since 2019 Team, McGhie Football Whanganui has entered the central football federation cup!
After a close encounter last week against Taradale, the cup gives the girls a chance to get off the mark against North End baby blues from the Palmerston league.
Not only that, but Whanganui City women are also in action at Wembley park tomorrow, facing off against Taradale AFC. that game is played on field 2.
We hope to see a packed-out Wembley park tomorrow cheering on the girls!

They have another away game this time against AFC Taradale
The girls first outing resulting in a pleasing draw away to Marist. The girls will be looking to get their first victory of the season.
Taradale have had a less interrupted beginning to the season, playing 3 games winning 2 to sit top of the table so far
Games up on Napier are always competitive which the girls are looking forward to the challenge ahead of them!
