Recent Bushcraft Introducton Day activities site.

Did a recent Introduction day into Bush Craft with a few happy youngsters. Learning how to put up a Tarpaulin as a shelter. How to light a fire using a Fero Rod.
How to cook on a camp fire and how to use a Bush Craft knife safely.
All seemed to enjoy the introduction day into Bushcraft.
And a bit of a Bush excursion catching Fresh Water Crayfish.

ONE DAY BUSHCRAFT COURSE
You will learn alongside one of our experienced Bushcraft instructors from the Bush and the Field.
By the end of the day you would have built a simple shelter, learnt how to light a fire without using matches or a lighter as well as a host of other outdoor activities and skills.
Some of these activities are designed to give people a taist used as well as a different way of spending time connecting with nature.
The course focuses on some of the core Bushcraft skills with lighting camp fires, camp fire cooking, building simple Bushcraft shelters and preparing water making it safe to drink.
The course requires no previous experience or for you to supply any specialist equipment. The only requirement is that you bring good outdoor type footwear and wear suitable outdoor clothing.
We will supply all of the equipment needed for the day.
Course will run from 9am to 4pm
Course content:
Fire lighting tuition
Bushcraft shelter using tarpoline
Cooking over a camp fire
Identifying some useful plants
Using sharp cutting tools
Course location
This one day course will take place in the Whanganui river area.
Full joining instructions and meeting points will be sent through once you have booked a place on this one day course
