Message from our club secretary Terry

This is just a very quick update folks on the results of the Champion of Champion events this weekend.

Both of our Singles Champions made it to the finals yesterday, with Dianne coming out victorious over the Wanganui East ladies' champion. Jim put up a great effort to just fall short against Roger Neilson, also Wanganui East, in the men's final.

The CoC Pairs was held today with both of our Pairs making their respective finals as well. Unfortunately, both were unsuccessful. Dianne & Lesley lost in an extra end against St Johns pair of Wendy & Lynn. Then Bob & Mark finished in the dark going down against the Aramoho pair of Peter Belliss & Lance Tasker.

To gain a place in all 4 Centre championship finals by our little club, with such limited playing numbers, is an incredible result. I am so proud of the efforts from all five of our championship representatives.
