Mairtown Tennis Club

Mairtown Tennis Club has been part of our community for decades — but it only survives if people show up.

Working Bee (Saturday 5th Sept, 9am) and we’re asking for your support.

"Contributing members" this is your time to shine, if you've ticked that box and haven't helped the club yet, it's time to pay it forward!!

If you’ve ever played here, volunteered here, or watched your kids learn here… please come along.

A strong turnout would mean the world to us. Activities we hope to complete:

- Cut down self seeded overgrown tree at the rear of the building. Chop into firewood and dump small remaining branches into the reserve.
- Clear drains
- Clean out the fridges
- Clean up the club house
- Grind fence in preparation for court replacement.
- Patch any holes in the roof.
- Trim any overhanging hedging or branches from neighboring properties.
- Re - plump storm water outlet at the rear of the building into the side drain.
- Repair broken wires in the fence.
- Using a spade, clear debris away from the edge of the court along the east entrance so water may drain away freely.
- Clear grass out of the rear guttering.
- Check the main entrance gate is closing properly and adjust if necessary.
- Tidy up the training shed.
- Upgrade the outdoor lights to safety lights.
- Drink some beer and play some tennis.

Bring your energy, your opinions, and maybe your best serve — AGM's can be bloody boring, come fire some shots and share the pain!! or a beersie

We’re excited to share that Mairtown Tennis Club has officially added a defibrillator to our facilities.

Sudden cardiac events can happen without warning, and having a defib on-site dramatically increases the chance of survival. This is an important upgrade for the safety of our members, juniors, volunteers, and visitors.

A big thank‑you to everyone who continues to support the club — improvements like this are only possible because of our community.

A celebration of Stu Peters’ life will be held on Saturday 8th August at the Ngunguru Sports Club. Doors open at 3.30pm and the formalities begin at 4pm. Well-wishers are warmly invited to join in celebrating Stu's life.
Rest in peace Stu, we will miss you.

Mairtown Tennis club is looking for a secondhand LED TV and/ or wall bracket that can be installed on the wall in the club. If anyone has one please get in touch....
