Northland Volleyball

Well deserved!

John has made a significant contribution to volleyball through a lifelong involvement as both a player and coach. Since moving to Northland six years ago, he has become an integral part of the local volleyball community, contributing as both a player and coach before stepping into administrative roles over the past three years. His efforts have been instrumental in re-establishing Northland Kauri Volleyball Club as a formally constituted organisation, and he continues to play an active role at both club and Volleyball Northland levels.

John’s work behind the scenes has supported strong growth in the sport, creating clear pathways for players to transition from school volleyball into club competition and further representative opportunities. He has also pursued his own development, completing Level 3 coaching qualifications, and is always willing to share his knowledge by mentoring and supporting others. Volunteering his time alongside a full workload, John’s dedication, leadership, and passion for the sport have made a lasting impact on volleyball in Northland.
