A fantastic day for our club as we came together to celebrate the achievements of the season.
We kicked things off on the water with a fun mixed knock-out sprints session, before coming together for our season awards, a shared meal, and words of encouragement and wisdom from our honourable Mayor, Ken Couper — an ex-rower himself.
A big thank you to Ken for joining us, and to everyone who helped make the day happen.
We’re ready to build on the momentum.
Bring on the 2026/2027 season! 🚣♀️🚣♂️

A huge thank you to the team at Classic Builders for rolling up their sleeves this week and putting in the mahi behind the scenes. 🪵🪓
They’ve been chopping, prepping and delivering firewood — and it’s all in support of our boys’ rowing squad as they prepare for the North Island and NZ Secondary Schools Championships (Maadi Cup). 🏆
We’re especially grateful to Chris, Classic Builders’ Construction Manager, who many of you know as one of our dedicated coaches. He’s there at the crack of dawn most mornings helping our athletes grow — and it means a lot to see that same commitment reflected by his wider team.
All proceeds from the firewood sales are going directly towards supporting the boys’ campaign.
This is what community looks like. Teamwork on land and on the water.
Thank you, Classic Builders — and good luck to our boys as they train hard and represent our club with pride. 💙
