He wiki whakahirahira ki Te Hiku o te Ika.
Members of our Ngā Manga Pūriri team spent the past few days immersed in Mahi a Atua wānanga up in Te Hiku o Te Ika.
Some key reflections to date:
🌿Pūrākau as healing: Stepping outside conventional Western frameworks to reconnect with our ancestral narratives as living systems of understanding, wellbeing, and identity.
🌿Wānanga & connection: Sharing space with kaimahi and whānau who are walking this path, challenging institutional norms, and holding space with absolute aroha.
🌿Collective accountability: Remembering that our healing journeys aren't isolated; they are deeply tied to our whakapapa, the whenua, and how we relate to each other every day.
Ngā mihi nui to the ringawera, the facilitators, and everyone who created such an open, transformational space for all of us. We are bringing these learnings, kōrero, and energy straight back into our mahi with whānau.
🌿Mauri ora! 🌿
