Don't forget our AGM tonight, (Tuesday) at 6pm at Stoked Public house. We're looking for a new secretary and committee members. The secretary involves approximately 1 - 3 hours per week leading up to and during the season.

A week ago our rising star Neela and her coach Lindsay got a fantastic opportunity... hear about it below.

Wow what a great day Neela and I had with Athletics NZ lead sprints and hurdles coach James Mortimer at AUT MILLENNIUM in Auckland. We had a one on one, hour and a half coaching session with James for Neela to install and gain some valuable finer points in her training and for me to hone my coaching skills. James was more than reassuring that Neela is on track to not just compete but to do well at the NZ Secondary Schools track and field champs at Cooks garden in Wanganui in early December. We both got so much more from this coaching session, more than we imagined. James also acknowledged how far Neela has come with only one season of competition and coaching behind her.

Zoe trained on our field some time ago and her dad was stoked to have somewhere she could train when they came here for their holiday!

We all start somewhere and we are blessed to have the wonderful coaches and volunteers to guide and inspire our talented tamariki!!

Our club is having our AGM on Tuesday 1st September at 5.30pm at Stoked Public House.

We are on the lookout for a new Club Secretary and more committee members. If you want to be involved, we would love to see you there! We will also be on the lookout too for coaches closer to the season starting.
