Miharo and awesome stuff right here
STILL STANDING. STILL GROWING. STILL SERVING.
Since Monday, 7th September 2026, the governance and senior leadership have been sitting in reflection and celebration for The Broken Movement Trust (Te Pou Awatea).
We are incredibly proud to announce that we have achieved Level 2 Social Sector Accreditation with Te Kāhui Kāhu Social Services Accreditation.
For our team, this is so much more than a certificate.
It represents resilience.
The past year has brought growth, change, challenges, uncertainty and moments where the road ahead has been anything but straightforward.
There have been difficult days.
Days where systems needed strengthening, questions needed answering, processes needed rebuilding and the pressure felt very real.
But through all of it, the mahi continued.
Our people kept showing up.
Our kiritaki remained at the heart of what we do.
Our team kept learning, adapting, developing and finding ways forward.
And as of Monday, that perseverance has been formally recognised.
Te Kāhui Kāhu has assessed Te Pou Awatea as meeting the Level 2 Social Sector Accreditation Standards - that doesn't mean we believe we are perfect. It means we are committed to doing the work properly.
With accountability.
With good practice.
To continually improving.
To creating safe, responsive and meaningful services for the people and communities who trust us.
And perhaps that's the most meaningful part of today.
We didn't get here because the road was easy.
We got here because when the road became difficult, we kept walking.
When things needed changing, we changed them.
When we had more to learn, we learned.
When we had more work to do, we did the work.
That is resilience.
That is growth.
That is Te Pou Awatea.
🖤 Still standing.
🌱 Still growing.
🤝 Still serving.
🌅 Still working through the darkness to find light and hope.
To every kaimahi, pou, tuakana, volunteer, kiritaki, whānau member and supporter who has contributed to this journey:
This achievement belongs to all of us.
We did it. 🖤🙌🏻🫶🏻
