This week we had our cycling/triathlon workshop. Tim Fletcher .physiotherapy explained the specifics of lower back pain and how to prevent it; shared some interesting mechanical tricks that could save us on race day; made a brilliant introduction of the different training zones based on HR, FTP, RPE…and how and when to train on them…
So much knowledge and so much experience shared in a lovely evening …

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade…!
Gemma is going through a tough recovery process of her knee but meanwhile she decided to take part in an open water swim event and guess what…she won two of the races, 800 m and 1 mile…! We couldn’t be more proud!

After hours of training on the turbo I had almost forgotten how beautiful is to ride outdoors, specially ! These sessions are key to my preparation for Muscat. Feeling confortable on the aero position, being able to take all the nutrition while riding, keeping your target power steady…must be practiced during outdoor rides!

It’s been a roller-coaster of emotions over the last couple of weeks. Alongside my ear infection I’ve also had pain in my recent surgery knee. X-rays have shown minor onset of arthritis, ultrasound has detected a grade 1 sprain of my MCL. Awaiting MRI 😔 My head is everywhere right now, but all I can do is focus on my rehab, take each day as it comes and set small goals to achieve. As I’ve always said injuries come to test us, slow us down and help us come back stronger. For now swimming and cycling is a go, running will have to wait 💪 .physiotherapy

March 5th will be my second 70.3 Ironman in Dubai. My goals for this race is to achieve sub 5hrs and hopefully a World Championship slot 🤞Let’s do this 🥳
