The inaugural Oman Open was played in 2018 at Al Mouj Golf, forming part of the European Tour schedule which consists of 48 tournaments across 31 different countries. Although this was the first visit for the European Tour to the Sultanate of Oman, the journey began in 2013 with the Challenge Tour.
