This special illustrated cover edition of 'Of Blood and Roses' is much closer than you think! Limited copies will be available in Iloilo next month!

On his 11th birthday, Val turned—and has been running ever since. Hunted by the Crimson Order, bound to a bloodline steeped in violence, and driven by a hunger he barely controls, Val has learned to survive by never stopping. Until he meets Eve. She is light where his world is shadow, and loving her was never part of his fate.

It's World Book Day and it's the release of 'The Sunset Place,' a collection of 14 short stories about letting go gently and living with hope and acceptance in the quiet aftermath. Suitable for young readers 13 and above, but definitely relatable to older readers.

In honor of World Book Day on 5th March, I'll be featuring some of my children's books throughout this month. 'Of Blood and Roses' was written for my daughter Arya's 9th birthday, a horror tween romance she wanted, inspired by her favorite series: Card Captor Sakura (anime), All of Us are Dead (Korean zombie series) & Fear Street (R.L. Stine books). Lo & behold, we get a half-breed aswang boy who fights straight out of Assassin's Creed & a magical girl gifted with a powerful mystical rose.

In honor of World Book Day, I'll be featuring some of my children's books. My first collab was in early 2024 with my then-7yo daughter (she turns 10 next month). 'A Girl and her Monster' was launched on her 8th birthday and is about a girl named Rana who goes back to her hometown and joins a new school, where she creates a cardboard monster she calls Shadow Blue. After sunset, Shadow Blue & the other cardboard monsters come to life! But is there a deeper, darker story behind this magic?

My YA short story collection, 'The Sunset Place,' will be out on 5th March, my 2026 release!

This book is about the moments we do not outgrow—the parent who taught us to prune roses under a merciless sun, the old vendor who made waiting sweeter, the friend who stood in the storm, the grandparents who left behind memories of love.

These are stories of childhood, first love, home, and the quiet ways we learn to let go as time moves us forward.
