AMOR In the Centro de Curacion Inca Shipiba we are working with traditional ancient Amazonian plant medicine.
Our vision is to connect people all over the world with the Shipibo curanderas and enable them to come stay with this amazing family and experience traditional healing and Ayahuasca ceremonies in the Amazon, in the home of the blue butterfly. The curandero knowledge that we have comes from our ancestros and is passed with traditions which are over 3500 years old. Helping both indigenous and foreig
n population with the same treatment and love. Encouraging the protection and conservation of our medicinal plants, with future generations in mind. Sharing our knowledge to other people who want to learn shamanism and thus the tradition is not lost. Modern shamans (healers) cure diseases in the same way their anancestors did, using the same medicinal plants. The beauty of our teaching is to share those natural ways. We have a lot of faith in the healing abilities of medicinal plants and believe in their spirits. We live in harmony with Mother Earth and make use medicinal plants with respect, so that these plants do not disappear with time. Our name IncaShipibo was inspired by a story that her grandmother told to Maestra Matilde:
When the Incas expanded from sierra to the Amazon rainforest, Incas formed families with Shipibos and Inca Shipibo children were born from this relationships. Incas were sharing their knowledge of medicinal plants and embroidery on fabrics with fantastic designs. The medicinal plants that Inca people taught to Shipibo people are: Huachama (San Pedro) and coca leaf. Through sharing our knowledge and medicine, we are able to come together and heal the planet and also to conserve indigenous culture, plant medicines and the Amazon forest. THE CURANDEROS (healer)
