Shallow = safer and faster to start, but skips skills you’ll need eventually.
Deep = slower to start, but builds real independence from day one.
Paracas gives you both, in the same place. Check it out 👇

🌈 SHALLOW WATER

✅THE GOOD
Faster learning curve early on
Feels safer so it’s good for people not so comfortable in open water
Recover the board by walking, not swimming
Relaunch the kite standing, not drifting downwind while doing it

❌THE BAD
Builds habits that don’t transfer (standing to relaunch, walking to recover)
Skips proper upwind body drag — a core safety skill
Skips proper kite relaunch from the water — another core skill
The struggle is real the first time you’re in real depth

🔵DEEP WATER

✅ THE GOOD

Forces correct technique from day one (body drag, relaunch). So no shortcuts to unlearn later.
Fully self-rescue capable faster. This is critical since most kite spots worldwide are deep water
More independent, sooner. You’re not tied to a shallow zone to feel safe
Builds real comfort in open water, which is what actually matters once you’re riding independently

❌ THE BAD

Slower initial progress so more lesson time before that first real “win”
Harder board recovery (swimming vs walking)
Higher intensity. It gets more tiring and mentally demanding for total beginners
Heavier reliance on instructor/boat support early on.
