Huge Easter weekend @ Walindi Resort & MV FeBrina. Big thanks to Chayne, Ema and the team for looking after us. Big shout out to Dom, Ina & the dive crew for “epic” diving, 300meter drop off’s huge schools of the big stuff & of course the little stuff, love the sand eels. Best diving in many years, gobsmacked, out with my dive buddy Dean Irving.

Team Em Tasol / Divers of Lae had a great few days, the local boys, out at Salamaua, dropped a new 40hp Yamaha outboard off their boat, that’s about PGK 25,000, so some happy bouts after catching the 90kg beast. After a search we found the engine at about 33m, today second session attached ropes and the boys managed to pull up the outboard engine. Big thanks to Simon, John from the village. The owner apologised, said thanks but he’s nothing to give us, told him a handshake is fine, happy that we could help. Great few days making new friends. Big thanks to Jo Paulin & Patrick Flinter for being our rescue buddies.

Great Sunday dive, enjoying the effects of a 7.7 magnitude earthquake. Out with Dean, Horie, Mecca & Gigi, diving at Dash Reef & Sheparton Shoal. Gigi photo’d a Epaulette shark (walking shark) which are unique to PNG & Aus.
