We were priviledged to have had him on our team.
In developing both the basketball administration and the children players.

And having him close the Pikinini Interschool Tournament of 2025 was a bonus.

A true mentor
A true motivator
A true educator

Rest in Peace, late Mr. Raymond Parangkei.

We have surely lost a great man who helps in Madang Basketball

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond Parangkei, a cherished mentor, inspiring educator, dedicated coach and a pillar to our community who departed this life on December 6th, 2025. He was 55 years old.

He dedicated his life to the development of Madang Basketball and inspired countless individuals to strive for excellence and realize their potential in this sport code.

Raymond Parangkei was known for his remarkable kindness, integrity, sense of humor especially towards the young generation. He approached every challenge with grace and sometimes agression and a genuine desire to uplift those around him.

Raymond Parangkei is survived by his children, Rayray, May Alup, Darren and Asap, a grandchild and his own siblings, Julliana, Reuben and Delmay.

His legacy will forever live on in the hearts and minds of the countless individuals he shaped.

Rest in peace, Raymond. 🕊
You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

For the love of the game.
