ANNOUNCEMENTS
Today's Saturday Karate classes and Kendo Classes are cancelled due to a HYROX Fitness event COMPETITION at the Dojo.

But Sundays classes are on as per schedule. Refer to Sunday's programme.

We are encouraging our children to take martial art. Here are two reasons among many other reasons why introducing them early in this path is a good investment.

The Silent Confidence

​The most "dangerous" person in the room is often the quietest. By giving a child the tools to handle physical conflict, you paradoxically decrease the likelihood they will ever seek it out. They no longer feel the need to "prove" themselves through posturing or bullying because they have a quiet, internal validation of their own capabilities.

Managing the "Ego" Early

​Every time a child bows, they are performing a ritual of humility. Putting on a uniform that looks exactly like everyone else's strips away the status symbols of the outside world. For that hour, they aren't the kid with the coolest shoes or the best gaming console; they are simply a student of the craft.
​Ultimately, we don't put kids in martial arts so they can learn how to fight; we put them there so they never have to. We give them a place to develop a "black belt heart"—the kind of resilience that helps them stand back up, whether they were knocked down on a mat or by a challenge later in life.
