PNGBGI Education & Awareness - Tauruba Primary School
On September 30th, 2024, PNGBGI conducted its first education and awareness session at Tauruba Primary School, located in the Rigo District of Central Province.
Our team engaged the students in discussions on critical environmental issues affecting both their community and the planet. We highlighted the causes, effects, and impacts of these issues, and explored solutions to protect, preserve, and conserve the environment-ensuring its benefits for present and future generations.
Aim & importance of Environmental Education & Awareness:
"The primary aim of environmental education is to impart knowledge about the principles required for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources for the survival of mankind"
"It allows students to explore environmental issues, engage in problem-solving, and take action to improve the environment."
We believe that " young people can be the voice for the environment when they are well-informed about environmental problems and their solutions."
A big thanks to the teachers and students of Tauruba Primary School for hosting us, and heartfelt appreciation to our team for making the trip a success!
