Travelling across to Balimo from Daru, NSL delivered its first retirement-focused session in the area, providing Retirement Savings Awareness (RSA) and Financial Literacy Training Module 3 – Planning for Retirement to six retirees from the Western Provincial Health Authority (WPHA).

Building financial confidence in our teachers!

Yesterday, Nambawan Super conducted a General Super Awareness Session for teachers from the Hiri West Cluster Schools Program at Papa Primary School.

The session brought together 160 teachers from Roku, Kouderika, Porebada, Boera, Papa, Kido, Gorohu, Manumanu and Lealea Primary and Elementary Schools.

Through greater understanding of superannuation, Members can make informed financial decisions today and work towards a financially secure and comfortable retirement.

Nambawan Super this week delivered Retirement Savings Awareness and our signature Financial Literacy Training to six retiring health workers from the Western Provincial Health Authority (WPHA) in Daru and later in Balimo. The session provided an opportunity for Members to understand their superannuation, plan for their financial needs and prepare for life after work.

In Balimo, we were pleased to go through our Retirement Savings Awareness and have meaningful discussions with six WPHA retirees. After years of working and contributing to their superannuation, participants reflected on the reality of leaving the workforce and what comes next.

As part of Papua New Guinea's 51st Independence celebrations, Nambawan Super Limited Offices Nationwide and Call Centre will CLOSE operations on Friday, 4 September 2026 at 12pm.

Members are advised to take note of the closure date and submit applications early for reviewing and processing.

Nambawan Super Limited, acting as the corporate trustee for Papua New Guinea’s largest superannuation fund, has officially become a Founding Signatory to the voluntary, principles-based PNG Empower Finance Code. The landmark agreement was formalised during a high-profile signing ceremony held at the Crown Hotel in Port Moresby late last week.

The event formed part of a coordinated financial-sector initiative led by the Bank of Papua New Guinea, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation and Flequity Ventures. Representing Nambawan Super at the signing ceremony was Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Seema Dass-Raju, who signed the Code on behalf of Chief Executive Officer, Lachlan Baird.

Another successful Financial Literacy Training (FLT) completed!

Nambawan Super recently concluded FLT for the staff of the Department of Implementation and Rural Development (DIRD).

The five-day training covered Modules 1–5, providing participants with practical knowledge to better understand their finances, superannuation and the importance of planning for a financially secure future.
