Captain and halves Mathew Arabu executed a well-timed A-block shape, spotting fullback Ernest Raitsi sweeping into space. Raitsi showed soft hands to release winger Mathew Miria, who burst through the defensive line with a strong line break. Supporting from the inside was centre Trebor Arabu, perfectly positioned to finish the play. Unfortunately, the final pass was shut down by the opposition fullback in a desperate try-saving effort, denying what looked to be a certain four or five pointer.

Without hesitation, Ernest took a quick tap and charged towards the try line. Brought down just short, he played the ball quickly, allowing fowards and centre Terence Arua to react instantly. Spotting the defence drifting to the right, Terence sold the dummy, darted left through the gap, and crossed over for a brilliant try.
