𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒕, 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒕.

This was the first piece of writing advice I’ve ever received. I took a one-day elective course back in college, and the teacher wrote these words on the board, simple and unassuming.

Back then, I was reading books by Nicholas Sparks and buying W.I.T.C.H. graphic novels with allowance money. I had a difficult time adjusting to the social climate of a big university, feeling like a swamp creature walking amongst glittery fairy folk.

I was caught between wanting to do extra-curricular activities and submitting a story to the school’s literary folio (I never did) and being content with disappearing behind a mound of photocopied hand-outs and just get through the next 3 years.

Being in that classroom talking about writing was one of the rare times I felt I was where I was supposed to be.

Every major shift in my life started with one thing: curiosity 💭

1️⃣ I didn’t have a journalism or literature degree, but when my first essay got published in a leading newspaper in 2011, I couldn’t shake the thought: Could I actually build a career as a writer? That one spark of curiosity led me to a life-changing decision.

2️⃣ A casual conversation with a journalist friend pointed me in the right direction, connecting me with a publisher who gave me my first writing gig.

3️⃣ About a year later, I walked into a bookstore and scanned the magazine racks. A particular title caught my eye. Could I write for them? I casually mentioned this to a photographer I was working with during an assignment, and, as if the universe was listening, he pulled out the editor-in-chief’s business card from his jacket. Turns out, the magazine was rebranding and looking for new contributors. I ended up writing for them for 5 years, until the magazine folded in 2018.

Following my curiosity over and over again shaped my path in ways I never planned. It wasn’t a grand strategy— just a series of small nudges I chose to listen to.

What’s something you’re curious about right now? Maybe it’s worth following.

I revel in being multi-passionate. The excitement of exploring different passions keeps me inspired, but it also comes with overwhelm, anxiety, and bouts of procrastination. When my to-dos pile up, things can get chaotic and I get paralyzed 😵

It took me countless iterations to find a rhythm that worked for me. Learning that I’m a Projector in and that I wake up with only about 20% energy was a turning point. That insight helped me put structure into my largely unstructured days. I became more intentional about movement in the morning, knowing it helps me feel calmer and more empowered throughout the day ⚡️

When I’m not working from home, I sneak in moments of self-care—whether it’s a quick 2-minute tapping practice or a 10-minute walking meditation 👣

🌳 What’s been keeping me grounded lately is setting my intention for the day and focusing on my top 3 priorities versus a long to-do list. It keeps me on top of the things that matter and will move the needle on my goals ⏭️

How do you ?

I am beginning to tell the story of how I want my life to be instead of how it was 📖

I am learning how to look at the past with deeper understanding. I am learning how to honor the present by being fully present.

It's so empowering to be part of a community of loving, generous and kind-hearted beings. Even if I felt like a child trying to learn how to walk, they already saw me running. Their belief made me believe in myself.

SacredSpace®️ was the fertile ground I needed to grow roots that run deep 🌳 I'm so grateful for everyone in this circle, especially for you ! I wouldn't have met my soul sisters if you didn't create this space for us ⭕

I am a completely changed person because of all of your love 💗💗💗 Cheers to brave and heart-opening beginnings 🥂

Reminiscing the last time I went to the beach because I'm craving for that feeling of being in a wide open space surrounded by nature 🏖

As soon as my feet felt the sand, I was elated 🤸‍♀️ When my skin finally felt the seawater, I was in an absolute high. I spent most of that day lying on the shallow part of the water with my eyes closed. The sky was big. The sun was warm. I breathed it all in. Heavenly 🤤

Then 2 weeks ago, I had to prepare for my Reiki Masters presentation - and I remembered this experience and thought of making a beach meditation!

If you want to be transported for a while to your favorite beach destination, send me a DM so I can share the link with you 🥰
